Grilled Sheese Sandwich "Virgin Mary"

I had to put a picture of this thing. It sold on E-bay for 28,000 dollars. This sandwitch is 10 years old and has been kept by a lady all that time. She obviously treasured the sandwich. I have to applaud the lady here. She kept the thing for 10 years and did a great job with self promotion. She deserves her 28k!

Dolphins Save the Day!

WHANGAREI, New Zealand (AFP) - A pod of dolphins were being praised for providing a protective barrier around a group of swimmers who were being threatened by a great white shark off the northeastern coast of New Zealand.
Rob Howes and three other lifeguards were on a training swim about 100 metres off shore at Ocean Beach near here when the dolphins raced in and herded the group together.
"They started to herd us up, they pushed all four of us together by doing tight circles around us," Howe said Tuesday.
When he tried to drift away from the group, two of the bigger dolphins herded him back.
He then saw why. A three-metre long great white shark was cruising toward the group about two metres below the surface.

"I just recoiled. It was only about two metres away from me, the water was crystal clear and it was as clear as the nose on my face," he said, adding he then realised the dolphins had moved in to protect the swimmers.

The group were surrounded by the dolphins for 40 minutes before they were able to make it back to shore.

Another lifeguard, Matt Fleet, was patrolling nearby in a rescue boat when he saw the dolphins' unusual behaviour.

When he dived out of the boat to join the group he also saw the great white.
Fleet said he was keen to get out of the water after the sighting, but didn't panic.
"I just kept looking around to see where it was."

The incident happened about three weeks ago, but Howes and Fleet said they had kept the story to themselves until they had a chance to catch up and confirm what they had seen.
Auckland University marine mammal research scientist Doctor Rochelle Constantine said dolphins were normally vigilant in the presence of sharks.

The altruistic response of the dolphins was normal, she said.

"They like to help the helpless."

Mcdonald's

Sigh, My 7 year streak is about to end. Grimmay asked me if I wanted any Mcdonald's for breakfast. I have a Mcgriddle and some hotcakes on the way! This will end my 7 years of no Mcdonalds, Burger King, KFC etc. If anyone has seen Super Size Me they know how evil this food can be. It's toxic and will kill you. Anyways I don't want to lecture about stuff like that. It's not too late for me to stop and give the breakfast to my other roomie. I could throw it outside and watch the seagulls have a battle for the hotcakes(I bet average seagull life expectancy has dropped). I could do a bunch of things but in about an hour I will be sitting here with Mcgriddle and hotcakes in my belly, probably rolling on the floor from the Micky D cramps as we call them. I fondly remember all the hotcakes and bacon eggs and cheese biscuits I enjoyed a youth. I remember the happy meals, toys, Mcdonanld's playland, box'o cookies. Damn, now that I think of it I have a lot of Mcdonald's memories. In college I was worse. 25c Tuesdays was a great day of the week. 25c burgers. I would feel like the guy from Animal House ("I'd like 10,000 marbles please"). In Manchester New Hampshire they had a fishbowl at our local Mcdonalds adding a touch of class as we inhaled our toxic dinners. It was avery nice fishbowl, huge filled with all kinds of cool little fishies. Oh yea, what in the world is in a Mcnugget!, seriously, you know it's not chicken.
Thanks to my sister I did some serious dieting and changed the ways I ate. To get back to something I mentioned earlier. Micky D cramps. I was in Montrael with some buddies after a long night of drinking. We had a good night, even met Samuel L Jackson who was very nice. We were as happy as could be. We ordered some Mcdonald's at like 4 am. In Montrael they have cheese and gravy on their fries! MMMM MMMM good. After about 15 minutes I got the Mcdonald's cramps and they were bad. I was like I need to go to the hospital! My buddies were like, No man, you're cool, It's just the Mickdy D cramps we get them all the time. WTH is up with that! That's not cool at all. That was the last time I ate there.
I know someone will probably remind me I worked at Burger King for two years, ate a ton of Bk food, had a blast and met a bunch of cool people. I'm not just anti Mcdonald's but basically against all fast food. Stop eating it my friends, watch super size me, cook your own food and live long healthy lives so you can keep reading my blog! Food's here, I smell hotcakes!

Sox pictures

Off to Orlando for a business trip. I'd love to see Micky, Donald and the gang but I'll probably be too busy, in fact I know I will. If only I hadn't used my precious few vacation days. It is supposed to sleet/snow here however!

A couple of Red Sox pictures. After Pedro got hit with a ball in the head Damon tells Letterman what he is hit with:

"Yeah, I heard a few guys got hit by a few things, but I got hit by a panty."-- Johnny Damon on David Letterman.

Tax Cap in Maine

Today is voting day! I hope everyone has voted. The tax cap limiting property taxes in Maine is the major local issue. Basically this limits the amount of property taxes on homes in Maine to 1%. The obvious flaw with this is the drastic budget cuts that will incur if this gets passed. As an example the town of Biddeford's budget would go from 44 million to 32 million. The brilliant people who vote for this probably believe that a magically fairy will swoop down and rescue all the state employees who are then laid off, causing the worst economic ripple in the state's history. Yes the state has budget problems and needs to go on a diet, but this is a diet that consists of taking a knife and lopping off all the extra weight.

The second major vote has to do with the bear problems and the recent bear deaths. I do not know much about this. The way we are keeping our bear problem under control is by "bear baiting" which traps a bear for a long time before the hunter can shoot it. The commercials of the hunter shooting the bear like to play during dinner..Thanks!

As far as the president is concerned I am in the air on this one. I do not like either candidate all that much.
